AWS sustainability is the effort of AWS to reduce its environmental impact and enable its customers to do the same. AWS is designing data centers, servers, and hardware for efficiency, resiliency, and a lower carbon footprint. AWS is also transitioning to renewable energy, reducing embodied carbon, using water responsibly, and driving a circular economy. AWS can lower customers’ workload carbon footprints by nearly 80% compared to on-premises computing workloads.
